Note: To use Internet Explorer version 5.5 with
Stanford's proxy server you must have version 5.5 (SP1)
or later. You can check version information by choosing
About Internet Explorer from the Help menu to see
a dialog box like the one at the right. Versions with a service
pack installed will include a line like "Update Versions;;
SP2" as in the example, which shows that Service Pack 2 is
installed.
If you don't already have a Service Pack installed, you can download
it from the Internet
Explorer for Windows Home Page on the Microsfoft Web site. Once
it is installed, follow the instructions
for setting up 5.x versions of Internet Explorer.
