AIDSinfo, a service of the United States Department of Health and Human Services, is a central resource for current information on federally and privately funded clinical trials for AIDS patients and others infected with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). AIDS clinical trials evaluate experimental drugs and other therapies for adults and children at all stages of HIV infection — from patients who are HIV positive with no symptoms to those with various symptoms of AIDS.

AIDSinfo is available at this URL: http://www.aidsinfo.nih.gov/. The service is free to all.

AIDSinfo provides access to information about new, active, and inactive clinical trials for HIV infection. The resource also offers a searchable database of information on drugs used in the treatment of AIDS and related conditions. In addition to these databases, the AIDSinfo program includes a telephone consultation service that allows callers to obtain more detailed information from experts regarding clinical trials, drugs or HIV treatment.
