This is an alphabetical list of selected on-line sources of statistics
and numeric data available at Stanford. Unless noted otherwise,
they are generally available to the public. Also see Social
Science Data and Software (SSDS) for assistance in acquiring
numeric data in electronic format.
Resources marked with the
icon are licensed for the non-profit educational use of Stanford
University. Use of these resources is governed by copyright law
and individual distributing, or retaining substantial portions of
information is prohibited.

Systems Status
and Known Issues
General
- Data Extraction Web Interface
(DEWI): The DEWI System is a web-based tool that allows users
to find and extract variables from selected datasets within the
Stanford University Libraries' social science numeric data collection.
Requires SUNet ID.

- Encyclopedia
of Statistical Sciences: Covers as much statistical content
as possible in a handy, readily accessible manner. This second
edition collects the entire original edition, plus supplements
and updates in one searchable, continuous online product.

United States
- STAT-USA: Economic, financial,
and trade data from the U.S. Federal government.
California
- Counting California:
Provides access to actual raw data compiled by federal, state,
and local agencies, and also allows users to collate and integrate
data by topic, geography, title, and provider.
- RAND California:
California economic and public policy issues and statistics.

International
Polling Statistics
- Gallup Brain: Responses
to The Gallup Poll since 1935.

- iPoll:
Roper Center for Public Opinion Research database of over 500,000
polling questions with responses.

- Polling
the Nations(1986+): The most comprehensive collection of public
opinion data, from the U.S and 90 other nations.
