A journal on digital library research. D-Lib is a forum for researchers
and developers of advanced digital libraries. It is coordinated
by the Corporation for National Research Initiatives for the Information
Infrastructure Technology and Applications Working Group of the
High Performance Computing and Communications program.
- HyperJournal
HyperJournal is a discussion list devoted exclusively to electronic
journals, especially those which publish on the World Wide Web.
It is concerned with all aspects of the production and publication
of electronic journals, particularly those managed by academics
themselves. Includes directories of electronic journals.

Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA)
Contains general information about IFLA (membership and affiliation;
grants, funds, and fellowships; conference information; publications)
plus access to its electronic information services, which include
the IFLA virtual library, an Internet and library software archive,
and the IFLA listserver.

- LIBRES
LIBRES is an international, refereed, electronic journal devoted
to new research in Library and Information Science.
- Newsletter on Serials Pricing Issues
(ceased in 2001)
The scope of this newsletter is library serials pricing interpreted
broadly. Topics include: journal pricing projections, library
cancellation projects, journal publisher and subscription agent
efforts to reduce costs, electronic publishing ventures that may
impact pricing, announcements of relevant conferences, etc.

Computer Systems Review
The Public-Access Computer Systems Review (PACS Review) is an
electronic journal about end-user computer systems in libraries,
such as campus-wide information systems, document delivery systems,
expert systems, hypermedia and multimedia systems, locally mounted
databases, network-based information resources and tools, and
online catalogs.
- SciSearch
SciSearch is a multidisciplinary index to the literature of science,
technology, and biomedicine that is prepared by the Institute
for Scientific Information. Stanford has access to SciSearch data
covering 1985 to the present via the Los Alamos National Laboratory
(LANL). Updated weekly, SciSearch contains access to all records
published in Science Citation Index (3,300 journals) and additional
records from the Current Contents Series of publications (1,900
journals) that are not included in the print version of Science
Citation Index. SciSearch records from January 1991 to present
include abstracts. Cited reference and current awareness (alert
service) searching are also available. Access limited to Stanford
faculty and students only.
- Scientific and Technical
Attribute and Element Set (STAS)
The Scientific and Technical Attribute and Element Set (STAS)
defines standard identifiers for referring to searchable and retrievable
fields within scientific, technical, and related databases. The
goal of STAS is to improve interoperability among consumers and
providers of scientific, technical, and related information using
the Z39.50 protocol. Provider: Chemical Abstracts Service.

Infrastructure Virtual Library
The National Information Infrastructure (NII), sometimes called
the “information superhighway,” is an interconnection
of computers and telecommunication networks, services and applications.
This site contains information on how the NII is changing our
world, how it works, what is the government's role, how citizans
can participate and contribute, and what is the Global Information
Infrastructure and what other nations are doing.
