Access and Circulation Policies

Stack access and borrowing privileges at the Art & Architecture Library depend upon patrons' Stanford status and are best checked by consulting with staff at the circulation desk ((650) 723-3408). The Art & Architecture Library is accessible to patrons with limited mobility.

The Art & Architecture Library reading room and its reference collection are open to all, including the public. Stanford faculty and students, and faculty and graduate students with UC Reciprocal Services Program cards, may access the stacks and borrow materials from the library. In-house use of materials is available to other users who have a valid Stanford ID; a UC Library Reciprocal Services Card; or a Courtesy Card, Courtesy Pass, or fee-based card issued by the Green Library Privileges Desk. Contact the Privileges Desk at Green Library ((650) 723-1492) for information on obtaining a Courtesy Pass (which enables the general public to access the Stanford University Libraries free of charge up to seven times per year) or a fee-based privileges card.
