Microfiche reproduction of the Courtauld subject index to periodicals. Coverage is from the 1930s through 1983, and includes fine and decorative arts as well as architecture. Especially thorough coverage of Burlington. The main section is organized into broad subject categories; there is a separate author index.

Superseded in 1994 by the online file DYABOLA, which Stanford has recently acquired for the Information Center in Green Library.

Covers books and articles on classical archaeology and art. More-or-less annual. Lags five to ten years behind literature it indexes. Covers less than half the journals indexed by the Archäologisches Bibliographie (see above) but provides annotations, mostly in English, French, or Italian. Author, topographical, and subject indexes.

Most comprehensive international record of art history literature, including books as well as journal and Festschrift articles. Particularly strong coverage of less well-known European periodicals. Indexing in earlier volumes extremely uneven until reorganization and change of format and frequency, from annual to quarterly, in 1972, which resulted in the addition of an excellent subject index. Coverage of antiquity, Islam, and the Far East dropped in 1965. Author index. Combined with Répertoire international de la littérature de l'art RILA in 1990 to become the Bibliography of the History of Art (BHA), available online via the SUL homepage databases link.
