Reserves Form
Course Reserves
The Art Library provides reserves mainly for courses in art history and
architectural history presented by the Art Department. A loose-leaf notebook
at the Art Library circulation desk gives details about items on reserve
for specific courses; this information is also available on the Stanford
University Libraries online “Reserves
catalog”.
To get a reserve item present your current ID then give the name of your
course instructor and the call number to the circulation desk attendant. Limit
of two books per reader at any given time. Reserve materials circulate for two
hours and may not be taken from the Art Library. No reserve materials circulate
overnight; all items must be returned at closing.
To place items on reserve, please complete
the online reserves form. Please complete and submit this form at
least one week before the beginning of classes. While some items may already
be in the Art Library, others may need to be recalled or purchased. In
addition, we may need to obtain copyright clearance for photocopies before
they can be placed on reserve. When adding any additional material to
your reserves, please allow 3-5 days processing time before it becomes
available for use. Please contact David Platt (dplatt@stanford.edu) for assistance.
