Theses
Dissertations, theses, and reports prepared by students in the School
of Earth Sciences are received in the Library and are listed on Socrates.
The dissertations and some masters theses are shelved by author's last
name in aisles 8 and 9 on the main
floor of the library; some Masters Theses and Engineers Reports are
shelved in the locked stacks. Ask at the Circulation
Desk if the item you need is not on the shelf or if Socrates indicates
that the item is to be found in locked stacks.
All theses may be borrowed for 28 days (or by the quarter for faculty
and graduate students). Items are subject to recall after the initial
seven days if needed by another borrower or immediately when needed for
course reserve. Borrowers of theses may be liable for a $1,000 charge
for replacement if the volume is lost. Items not needed by another
borrower may be renewed.
