On behalf of the Web Advisory Committee (WAC), I would like to announce that an improved and revised SUL/AIR Staff Directory is now available in SUL/AIR Web space.

The revised directory features more detailed information than available in other campus directories, as it includes specific job titles and room locations. Instead of static HTML pages, the directory is now an updatable directory. A particularly valuable new feature is the ability to update one's own record (using PC-Leland authentication), with resulting changes implemented immediately. Since the new SUL/AIR directory is separate from directories maintained by Stanford, users will still need to make changes in their Stanford.You record also. Most entries in the new SUL/AIR Staff Directory have already been updated by authorized departmental representatives, but there are some that still need revision. WAC urges everyone to check his or her own entry and make any necessary changes.

Last year, the docent led tour of Jasper Ridge was a popular event. It was suggested to the SLSA board that we offer the tour again. So, mark your calendars for April 29th!

A limited number of spots (23 spaces) will be available for a SLSA-sponsored tour of the preserve on Saturday, April 29 at 10:30 AM. Reservations will be taken on a first come, first serve basis. Please contact Rikke Greenwald(email: rikke.greenwald@stanford.edu) by April 26 to reserve your space.

I'm sure many of you know our "Crown" jewel of an Access Services Librarian, Andy Eisenberg. Alas, on March 31st she retired! I think Andy's influence is best summed up by Evelyn McMillan (Tanner's Librarian) who said that all over campus when you mention Andy's name faces light up. Everyone from the deans to the janitors know her and admire her. For those of you who would like to send Andy a farewell email, you can still send it to her at her Stanford email address.
