1. FREE COPYRIGHT TUTORIAL AVAILABLE VIA EMAIL
The Indiana University Copyright Management Center will offer a free online copyright tutorial this Fall. Designed to provide instructors, librarians, and staff with an introduction to copyright issues relevant to the academic community, course lessons will be provided through regular emails.
The tutorial is offered by Kenneth D. Crews, Associate Professor at Indiana University, and will include up-to-date information on recent events affecting copyright law. Starting September 2, the series will offer approximately three lessons per week. It will run through the end of Indiana University's Fall Semester.
To subscribe to the Indiana University Online Copyright Tutorial, send email to email@example.com. The message, which should have no subject or signature, must read as follows:
sub Copyright-Online-L [your full name]
(Replace "[your full name]" with your actual name, not your email address.) After subscribing, you will receive a confirmation request; you must respond to this request with a message that includes only the word "ok." You will then be ready to receive the tutorial emails.
For more information about the tutorial, see its Web site.
