1. Scholars' Workshops
A reminder that two more sessions remain in the Winter series of Scholars'
Workshops. On March 6, Ann Latta will present information on California
documents entitled: California: Land, Water and Growth. The following
Wednesday, March 13, Malgorzata Schaefer's session will focus on how to
find full-text articles online through such resources as Project Muse,
JSTOR, First Search databases, Policy file, and others. Please spread the
word to faculty, students and staff who might be interested.

2. Buckminster Fuller Exhibit at the Cantor Center for the Visual Arts
In association with the current exhibition in the Bing Wing and the
conversation series about Buckminster Fuller, there is a small exhibition
at the Cantor Center for the Visual Arts related to the influential design
scientist. Works on view include drawings, photographs, models, as well as
a brief video of clips made from a selection of 15 films and videos
recently preserved by Media Preservation and Special Collections
staff. Produced by Manuscript Processing Librarian Sean Quimby, the video
provides insight into Fuller's intriguing mind and the way he engaged his
audiences, such as a gathering of hippies in San Francisco's Golden Gate
Park circa 1966. Further, the video reveals the wealth of research
materials in audio-visual form in the Fuller archives held by SUL's Special
Collections. The exhibit is open to the public through June 30.

3. New Film Titles from Korea
The Media/Microtext area has responded to the popular overnight
loan of DVD'S to faculty and students by launching a collection
building effort to acquire recent titles as well as to replace classic
films on videotape with DVD copies.
In addition, the DVD format
has helped to make foreign film more accessible to a variety of
audiences through alternate language and sub-title options. A generous
gift of a thousand dollars from the Korean Students Association
has been directed toward improving the library's holding in Korean
film. A few of the DVD titles acquired recently include:
