2. USE OF STANFORD EQUIPMENT OFF-CAMPUS
When Stanford equipment is used off-campus (e.g. employee's home), a Stanford Off-Campus Equipment Verification Worksheet must be filled out and the Capital Asset Management System (CAMS) record must be updated. The off-campus verification form must be kept on file with the Department Property Administrator (Cindy Skalski) and updated annually. The annual update is to verify that the equipment is still in the same location and in good working order. The Physical Inventory Group uses this information to assist them in the physical inventory. This eliminates the need for employees to bring the equipment back onto campus to be scanned during the Physical Inventory.
If you currently have Stanford equipment located off-campus and have not completed an off-campus form within the past twelve months, please be sure to complete one and send it to Cindy Skalski, Sweet Hall, M/C 3090. You can print copies of the form, including instructions for use, on-line at:

(Note that when a URL wraps to a second line, clicking on it in an email message may not take you to the correct page. Type the complete URL into your browser window to reach your destination.)

The Physical Inventory for SUL/AIR is scheduled for March 20 - March 31, 2000. Preparation activities, expectations, etc. for the inventory will be announced in February.
