1. Last Scholars' Workshops

The Spring series of Scholars' Workshops is ending. The topic for May 15 will be California: Land, Water and Growth.

2. Stanford Community Memorial Gathering

Honoring Lives, Remembering Losses. An Interfaith Grief Memorial.

Open to the entire Stanford Community. Faculty, Staff and Students.

Thursday, May 23nd, 4:00 pm
Round Room (Behind Memorial Church)

We will light candles in memory of those we love who have died. We will hear beautiful music. We will hear sacred readings on the themes of loss and hope. All losses, whether recent or in the past, will be honored.

Please RSVP to elenay@stanford.edu with the names of those you are remembering for the Memorial Program.

3. Stanford Lively Arts News - Faculty/Staff Discounts for July 3rd!

Another great benefit of being a Stanford employee is you get special reduced prices for many Lively Arts performances.

Gates open at 5:30 p.m. for picnicking.

In what has become a joyous annual tradition, the San Jose Symphony returns to beautiful Frost Amphitheater to delight audiences with a pre-Independence Day celebration. Maestro Leonid Grin will again conduct a spirited, patriotic musical program featuring works by Bernstein, Copland, Ellington, and Gershwin, followed by a spectacular fireworks display. Bring the whole family for a magical night of music and Americana. Fireworks dependent upon weather conditions.

Adults $14.00/Lawn; $19.00/Chair
Students $12.00/Lawn; $17.00/Chair
Stanford Students $6.00/Lawn; $8.50/Chair

What you need to know:

Tickets must be purchased in person at the Stanford Ticket Office in Tresidder Memorial Union. Please present your red and white Stanford University ID card. Courtesy cards will not be accepted. Maximum two adult tickets and two Child or Student tickets per household. Faculty/Staff discounts do not apply to Stanford Hospital employees. Concert rain or shine. Fireworks dependent upon weather conditions.
