1. Publishing on the Web: A Stanford Course and Website Critique Workshop For Web Publishers
As you know, Sept 11 events have taken a toll on many courses and conferences across the U.S.-- including Publishing on the Web: A Stanford Course and Website Critique Workshop (see below for details). We have contracted for rooms for our participants at the Monterey Plaza Hotel that are not being reserved by our registrants. THEREFORE, we're trying to make lemonade out of lemons.
So here's the deal: for Stanford folks only, we are offering a total tuition of $250 (regular tuition is $1,295).To take advantage, we ask that you stay at the Monterey Plaza and pay for your hotel in addition to tuition. The special hotel rates we've negotiated start at $175/night--and you'll be staying 3 nights. So the total package comes to $775 plus hotel tax.
By the way, the $250 tuition goes to covering the cost of your breakfasts, lunches and breaks, and the opening night dinner while you're here. We make virtually nothing on this deal--but we do fill those rooms at the hotel.
Currently we have about 60 registrants for this course--not what we'd hoped but certainly enough to make it a rich and diverse experience. And the speakers are fabulous.
So, please help us get the word out. Below are full details (with original tuition prices listed). Anyone interested should register online AND call us at 5-4301 to arrange for the reduced tuition.
