Here are a few basic resources to help you find information quickly when you only need a fact or two.

Efunda - has sections covering formulas, materials and processes. There is a Design Center and a section dealing with units and constants. There is also a mathematics area and a discussion forum.

Knovel - A collection of books and handbooks on a wide variety of engineering subjects. Provides tabular and graphical data, including facts, figures, formulas and definitions.

Access Science - A technical encyclopedia related to the McGraw-Hill Encyclopedia of Science and Technology. Brief articles on many topics.
