Sure!Maps Raster is a series of full color, digitized, seamlessly mosaiced, georeferenced USGS topographic raster maps. ( DRGs - Digital Raster Graphics)  The data is available at 1:24,000, 1:100,000 scales for California, 1:250,000 scale for the continental United States, and 1:500,000 scale for the entire United States. The software allows for viewing, extracting, and reprojecting of the data.

Sure!MAPS RASTER data is:

•  Seamless
• SureMaps has removed all white map border information and mosaiced the maps together so you can scroll seamlessly across paper map boundaries.
• Georeferenced for positional accuracy.
• Use Sure!MAPS RASTER as a basemap for raster and vector data. Georeference raster images to real world coordinate systems (UTM, State Plane and Latitude/Longitude).
• Topographic
• The maps contain colorful topographic contours, land use features, political boundaries, streets, buildings, landmarks and other cultural details.
• Compatible with GIS software.
• Import TIF file data directly into raster-capable packages including those  from Autodesk, ESRI and MapInfo. Sure!MAPS RASTER now supports GeoTIFF.

This dataset is NOT available for borrowing. Due to its copyright restriction, it is for use within Branner Library only .
The Sure!Maps data loading program is installed on the GIS computers in Branner. Patrons may extract data from the Sure!Maps CDs at these workstations and then transfer the data to computers elsewhere on campus.

1:100,000 Sure!Maps data for the entire state of California is contained on one CD-ROM.

1:250,000 Sure!Maps data for the Western U.S. is contained on a single CD-ROM, and includes:

Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Washington.

1:250,000 Sure!Maps data for the Midwestern U.S. is contained on a single CD-ROM, and includes:

North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Nebraska, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Texas.

1:250,000 Sure!Maps data for the Central U.S. is contained on a single CD-ROM, and includes:

Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana.

1:250,000 Sure!Maps data for the Eastern U.S. is contained on a single CD-ROM, and includes:

Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.

1:500,000 Sure!Maps coverage of the entire United States is contained on one CD-ROM.
