Information Center
The Information Center is both a place and
a program.
The Information
Center (IC), 650-725-1064, is the initial contact
point for many of the reference and information needs of the Stanford
community. It assists with reference questions in all areas, plus
government documents and is staffed many of the hours
the library is open. Reference staff also answer questions submitted
via the Web and assist patrons
in making interlibrary
borrowing requests. You can find our reference
policy on the Web.
The IC reference collection consists of over 20,500 volumes of
basic, non-specialized reference titles. These resources are supplemented
by those in an electronic format. Many library kiosks and computer
clusters are also located in this area to aid researchers in
using the library's electronic resources.
For information about the reference collection in other areas in
Green library, see the collections
page.
