Green Locations:
Note: you can take an online
tour of Green.
- Bender Room - on the
5th floor of the Bing Wing. Take the elevator near the Bing
Wing entrance to Green.
- Bing
Wing (West Stacks) - use the elevator (floors W1 - W7) near the Bing
Wing entrance to Green or the stairs in the middle of the Bing Wing Stacks.
Note: on the elevator, W2 is level
with the 1st floor, W4 is level with the 2nd floor, W6 is level
with the 3rd floor. On each of these floors take two right turns
to get to the stacks.
- Bing
Wing (Basement) - use the stairs in the middle of the West Stacks to go to the Bing Wing West Stacks level 1 (W1), and go through the doorway and down the ramp.
- Current Periodicals - is past the Information
Center Desk on the first floor of Green East.
- Government Documents - includes California Documents, Federal Documents, and International Documents. These are all located in the Bing Wing West Stacks and in the Bing Wing basement.
- Green
East (or the East Wing) -
is part of the library with the big red hoop fountain outside
the entrance.
- Green Reserves - is located at the Loan Desk,
directly ahead as you enter Green East.
- HAS - Humanities and Area Studies. HAS books, as well as the Humanities and Area Studies Resource Center (HASRC) are located in the Lane Reading Room, on the second floor of the Bing Wing. Examples of HAS collections include HAS-FIC (HAS fiction), HAS-NEWBK (HAS new books), and HAS-JOURN (HAS journals).
- Information Center - is the general
reference collection on the first floor of Green East.
- Lane Room - is the Humanities
and Area Studies Reading Room on the second
floor of the Bing Wing.
- Lower
Level - downstairs in Green East.
- Media Microtext Center (Media Reserves) - is located on the
Lower Level of Green East, down the main stairs and to the left.
- The Raubitschek Collection/Medieval Reading Room is located on the
3rd floor of Green
East, two right turns off the main stairs, past the rest rooms.
- South Stacks
- go down the main stairs in Green East to the Lower Level, turn right, then left and
down the long corridor into the basement of Meyer Library.
- Special Collections & University Archives
- is located on the second
floor of the Bing Wing.
- SSRC (Social Sciences Resource
Center) - is located on the first
floor of the Bing Wing.
