Description of the Collection
This collection of 1,172 small-cast one-act plays dating from 1892 to
1992 was assembled by Lewis W. Heniford while he was writing 1/2/3/4
For the Show: A Guide to Small-Cast One-Act Plays. "Small-cast" refers
to four or fewer roles in a script; "one-act" means staging
the play without an internal intermission. Drawing broadly from history
and geography, this collection includes plays for children and adults,
plays published alone or in collections, and plays for stage, broadcast,
and puppetry.
Consult the brief guide to determine which boxes you wish to page and go to the Socrates record [Lewis W. Heniford Drama Collection] to page boxes electronically.
1/2/3/4 For the Show: A Guide to Small-Cast One-Act Plays can be used as a reference guide to part of the collection. PLEASE NOTE: not all titles in the two volumes are held in the collection - the titles that are held have been marked with an asterisk in the author sections of both volumes of the FELTON copy in Special Collections.
