Contents: An unusual run of Lacy's Acting Edition of Plays, published by Samuel French, London. The collection includes volumes 1 - 100, with volumes 69, 70, and 72 missing. These plays were produced in the 19th century and include contemporary plays as well as productions of older works, e.g. Shakespeare. Each volume contains 15 plays. Information on each play includes author, when and where it was first produced, and other particulars, such as production notes. The set provides a remarkable overview of the drama available to the public in the 1800s.
