| The collections listed on these pages include manuscripts,
correspondence, and working papers produced by British and Commonwealth
poets, novelists, and dramatists from the late eighteenth century
to the present. Also included are extensive Romantic and Victorian
poetry collections, popular and mass-culture book collections,
and materials related to aspects of British social and cultural
history. Collections are organized by historical period. Individual
collections that span more than one period are listed under each
relevant category. Links to specific electronic finding aids are
located on the individual collection pages. Individual items are
typically not listed in Socrates (Stanford’s online catalog).
The collections are housed in Green Library’s Special
Collections.
