Content: Microfilm copies of most books printed in Britain and books in English printed elsewhere for the period 1641-1700.

Progress: 92 of an estimated 97 units of microfilm have been completed.

Access: Individual titles are in Socrates. Staff in Media-Microtexts will retrieve material from the collection if you specify "Microfilm 015/4" and provide the item's reel number from the full Socrates record.

EEBO is a full-text web database with detailed indexing. It contains over 125,000 titles from 1475 to 1700.

English Short-Title Catalog (ESTC)
Available either on-line through the Stanford databases or through Folio. Covering English books from 1475 to 1800, this is the most flexible searching tool available, with indices for author, words in title, printer, publisher, place, and date. Provides reel numbers for all microfilmed items.
