Finding Aids
In this section there will be additional contents lists or guides
to other French or Italian collections mentioned in “Collections
on Special Topics” and in other announcements of new acquisitions
that have not yet been described on this page. More information
is currently available from the curator, and includes, for example,
a full list of titles in the Italian biography collection.
- 18th-Century French Judicial and
Administrative Resources
- NoiDonne
- Gimon Collection finding guides:
A
guide to one of the larger sets of ephemera is available online.
In addition, there are several other provisional guides to smaller
sub-collections within the Gimon Collection. Besides the manuscripts
listed in separate inventories, ephemeral or manuscript segments
are found as well within other parts of the collection, many bound
together with printed works which in themselves may bear autograph
annotations. Until all materials are fully catalogued, these smaller
guides provide useful access points. They are available in the
Department of Special Collections and from the curator.
Short finding guides are listed below by chronological sections
of the collection. As an example, the list of
Proudhon journals is available online.
Sixteenth-century:
. Hotman Materials (items 105-124)
. Étienne Pasquier et. al. (items 168-183)
Eighteenth-century:
. Navigation de Bretagne (items 135-149, some printed, some
manuscript)
Nineteenth Century:
. Proudhon: Recueil des journaux
(19th-century section, items 132-151)
. Aide-toi, le ciel t’aidera (items 1-22)
. Société des Amis du Peuple (items 331-367)
. Inventory of Saint-Simonian materials (M. Chevalier bound
set, items 175-318)
Some Special
Collections Finding Aids are available online (their digitization
is an ongoing project).
