Launching
Insight
If you have already downloaded
and installed the Insight program, you can access
Stanford's image collections by launching Insight...
- from your Windows Start Menu (usually
Start — Programs — Luna Imaging —
Insight 6.3 )
or
- from your Macintosh OS-X desktop
shortcut, dock, or Applications folder, depending on where you've installed it
Insight should not require you to log in, but if it
does, use one of the following username and password
combinations:
- Stanford users: enter stanford for
both username and password
- Non-Stanford users: enter public for
both username and password

Use this link to download the installation package.
Choose "Run this program from its current location," or
save the file to your desktop and double click
on its icon.

to your Applications folder. Unstuff the package,
and launch the file named "installInsight."

The Insight program, as well as some of Stanford's image
collections, are available both to members of the Stanford
community and to the general public, though the latter
may have somewhat restricted access to some collections.
