University of California-San Diego Latin American Collection

The Latin American holdings (220,000 volumes) at the University of California-San Diego focus primarily on: Mexico, Central America, the Andean region, and the Spanish Caribbean (excluding Puerto Rico). Coverage for these countries is on most subjects. Elections, women's studies, and immigration are subject areas of intensive collecting for both primary and secondary sources. Given the proximity to the Baja California Peninsula, the collection has built intensive holdings of primary sources and large runs of newspapers from the area.
