North American Commission for Environmental
Cooperation ¿ is an international organization created
by Canada, Mexico and the United States under the North
American Agreement on Environmental Cooperation (NAAEC). The CEC was
established to address regional environmental concerns, help prevent potential
trade and environmental conflicts, and to promote the effective enforcement
of environmental law. The Agreement complements the environmental provisions
of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). Text is in English,
French and Spanish.

Inter-American
Forum on Environmental Law (FIDA) (OAS)- FIDA was established
at the 1996 Summit of the Americas for Sustainable Development in Santa
Cruz, Bolivia, as a hemispheric network of officials and experts in environmental
law, enforcement, and compliance, working in coordination with the OAS
to exchange knowledge and experiences in environmental law.
