Convention on
International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES)
ø CITES was drawn up in 1973 to protect wildlife against over-exploitation
and to prevent international trade from threatening species with extinction.

Endangered Wildlife Trust
øThe mission of the Endangered Wildlife Trust is to conserve the diversity
of plant and animal species in Southern Africa. The Trust conducts a program
of research, awareness and conservation action.
