Academic Computing
The Academic Computing group within
Stanford University Libraries and Academic Information Resources (SUL/AIR)
provides support for instruction and research through technological services
and facilities for faculty and students. Academic Computing also provides
consulting and instruction about advances in media and computing technologies
and their thoughtful uses in higher education.
East Asia Library
The East Asia Library, formerly housed in the Hoover Institution, made
the transition to the fourth floor of Meyer Library in Fall 2002. Holding
over 520,000 volumes in the social sciences and humanities for all historical
periods, it is Stanford's primary Asian-language collection. More information
on the East Asia Library can be found on its Web page.
Access
Meyer Library houses mainly classrooms, a language lab, and computer
clusters and services for Stanford faculty and students on the first and second floors, and the East Asia Library
on the fourth floor. Circulation of library materials is available at
Green Library. Meyer Library is wheelchair
accessible.
Reference and Reserves
Reference assistance is available in Green Library
or the appropriate specialized library.
Meyer Library no longer houses a course reserves collection. Patrons
should inquire at the Information Center
in the East Wing of Green Library. Detailed information about reserves
services at Green Library, including information on how to submit reserves
requests, is available online.
