Access & Circulation
The Hopkins Marine Station Library is located in Pacific
Grove about 90 miles from Stanford. The Library is open to all members
of the Stanford community and is accessible to people with limited
mobility. Holdings are listed in Socrates.
Users on the main campus who want to borrow books from the collection
at Hopkins can use the REQUEST THIS ITEM button next to the records
in Socrates to request materials. To request journal articles from
the Hopkins collection, contact the staff in Falconer Biology Library,
Branner Earth Sciences Library, Lane Medical Library, or Interlibrary
Loan Services in Green Library.
Circulation policies
Circulation of materials is available only to users
with a valid Stanford borrower's ID, corporate users with a SUL
Science coupon, people who have purchased borrowing privileges,
and to users with a University of California Library Reciprocal
Services Card. Contact the Privileges Desk at Green Library (650)
723-1492 for information on obtaining a valid borrowers card. For
more information, please see the general statement on borrowing
regulations.

Books, Theses : 28 days - Main campus patrons
Books, Theses : 1 year - Hopkins patrons
Journals : Do not circulate
Reference : Do not circulate
Books and dissertations are subject to RECALL after
two weeks if requested by another user. RENEWAL of loans is permitted
unless another user is waiting.
Materials can be returned to any library on the main
campus. To renew items, go to SULAIR's My
Account/Circulation Records Web page.
