Abstract: Selected molluscs from Hopkins Marine Station and the Monterey Municipal Wharf were analyzed for copper concentration in soft parts. Atomic absorption analysis indicated higher levels of copper in animals from the Wharf area than in those from HMS. Magnification of copper concentration through trophic levels was not observed in organisms selected.
