Abstract: Sea Otters were observed off Monterey's Cannery Row, in California, during nineteen days between Oct. 4, 1975 to Feb. 19, 1977. Their activity, the times and number of successful and unsuccessful feeding dives, and identity of their food items were noted. Comparisons with similar studies are made and the impact of food availability and nutritional value on the sea otters activity pattern's is discussed.
