Stanford
Libraries Staff Association (SLSA)
SLSA members include staff
from all Stanford University Libraries as well as Coordinate Libraries.
SLSA needs you! Come join the team!
The Stanford Library Staff Association (SLSA), the group that
brings you continuing education teleconferences, noon-time speakers on current
topics, the annual book sale, Jasper Ridge excursions, and staff picnics, NEEDS
YOUR HELP!! We currently have two open offices:
- Vice-President/President-Elect
- Member-at-Large in charge of booksale
We need energetic, enthusiastic people to help with organizing
events and brainstorming new ones. We have several great people on board already
who can help new members get adjusted. But we just need a couple more. The time
commitment is minimal. Most organizing can be done through email and our once
a month lunch meeting (it never goes over an hour, I promise!). We're especially
interested in having more SUL representation as the majority of the board is
from coordinate libraries.
Serving with SLSA is a good way to keep connected with other colleagues
and find out what's happening at various libraries.
If you're interested in participating in SLSA, either by running
for office, helping out with particular events, or suggesting new programs,
please email Rikke Greenwald by email at rikke.greenwald@stanford.edu
or by phone at x5-5493. Hope to hear from you soon!
