Ira Nowinski took the photographs that were included in the original exhibition, and also provided digital versions of the images that are included in this online version.

Zachary Baker, Reinhard Family Curator of Judaica and Hebraica Collections, wrote the narrative text and photo captions for both the original and online exhibitions.

D. Vanessa Kam, Special Collections Exhibits and Publications Manager, designed the web site for this online exhibition with the aid of Hsiao-Yun Chu and Sean Quimby.

Elizabeth (Becky) Fischbach, Exhibitions Designer, was responsible for designing both the original exhibition and the accompanying catalogue, and also assisted with this online exhibition.

Seymour Fromer, founder and director-emeritus of the Judah L. Magnes Museum, Berkeley, and Dr. Anita Friedman, Executive Director of Jewish Family and Children's Services of San Francisco, the Peninsula, Marin and Sonoma Counties, initiated several of the photographic projects that are featured in this online exhibition.

Abraham Massuda and his fellow members of KJA - The Karaite Jews of America, and Gayle Zahler, Director of the Émigré Project, helped to identify several of the individuals in these photographs.

Acquisition of the Ira Nowinski Collection was spearheaded by Roberto Trujillo, Head of Special Collections at the Stanford University Libraries, with the support of Zachary Baker (Reinhard Family Curator of Judaica and Hebraica Collections), Alex Ross (Head of the Art and Architecture Library), Karen Rondestvedt (Curator for Slavic and East European Collections), and Alicia Gámez (former Curator for British and United States History). Michael A. Keller (University Librarian), Assunta Pisani (Associate University Librarian for Collections and Services), and Prof. Steven Zipperstein (Co-Director of the Taube Center for Jewish Studies) also lent their support to this collection's acquisition.
