While collecting in Russian and Slavic manuscripts has not been
a primary focus of Special Collections' collecting in the past,
this area is an increasingly vital one for our collections.
Russian Literature and Culture
Recent acquisitions include the papers of 20th and 21st Centuries
Russian poet Yevgeny Yevtushenko and early 20th Century observers
of Russia such as literary correspondent, philologist, and teacher
of ancient languages Emil Joseph Dillon (M0935)
One of the areas of strengths within this collecting area is the

Polish Literature and Culture
Recent acquisitions of note in this collecting area include the
papers of Polish religious leader Georgii Grabbe (M0964), which
span the vast majority of the 20th Century.
