BirdLife South Africa: BirdLife South Africa (previously the South African Ornithological Society) is the South African national association for birdwatching and ornithology. Their pages list their publications, include photographs, a preview of the cd-rom, "Roberts' Multimedia Birds of Southern Africa" and list many links to related sites. For example, a search on Senegal produced over 700 citations to recordings (Senegalese musicians, interview with Youssou N'Dour, bird calls, etc.) You can limit the search to Oral Histories.
