How to Add the Stanford New Books RSS Feeds to your Browser (Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Internet Explorer 7)
You can easily add the RSS feeds of new Africana acquisitions to the browsers Mozilla Firefox or IE 7.
This enables you to receive, in your Bookmarks, links to the latest new African history / economic / or politics acquisitions (or other RSS feeds such as African news from AllAfrica.com).
In Mozilla Firefox.
Go to the Stanford African Collection new acquisitions page

See the URL address box at the top.
On the right side of the URL box is an orange square - with 3 white lines.
Click on the orange square and you will see
Subscribe to Stanford Univ. Library New African Economic Books
Subscribe to Stanford Univ. Library New African History Books
Subscribe to Stanford Univ. Library New African Politics Books
If you want to receive the list of new African history books in your browser Bookmarks section,
click on
Subscribe to Stanford Univ. Library New African History Books
A box will pop up saying Add Live Bookmark
There will be space for you to create a name for the Bookmark/Feed.
You could call it
New African history books.
Then you can select
Create it in your Bookmarks Menu
or
Create it in your Bookmarks Toolbar
If you select Bookmarks Menu, it just goes in your Bookmarks
If you select Bookmarks Toolbar, it will appear in the gray toolbar at the top of the browser.
Then click Add.
You are done! You have just added an RSS feed to your web browser
For Microsoft Internet Explorer 7
If you use the Microsoft Internet Explorer browser 7, you can also
subscribe to RSS feeds easily.
"Internet Explorer 7 automatically detects RSS feeds on sites and
illuminates an icon on the toolbar. A single click on the icon allows
you to preview and subscribe to the RSS feed if you want—so you're
automatically notified as content is updated. Read RSS feeds directly in
the browser, ......
