Search their catalog. For example, a search on Senegal produced over 700 citations to recordings (Senegalese musicians, interview with Youssou N'Dour, bird calls, etc.) You can limit the search to Oral Histories. Copies of recordings can be purchased; "however "recordings which are less than 50 years old are all in copyright and you will need to obtain written permission from the copyright owner before a copy can be made." The Archive is digitizing ten collections including the D. A South African film, based on Georges Bizet's Carmen, and set in a Cape Town township, wins the top award, the Golden Bear, at the 2005 Berlin Film Festival. Directed by Mark Dornford-May. The libretto was translated into Xhosa.
