Formae: check against the forms in the database by either of two 1) Page down to the FORMAE search field, press <F2> methods [BROWSE], type in the first few letters of the desired term, and then select terms from the BROWSE window. 2) Page down to the FORMAE search field, type in your search term (i.e., carnal*; *aliter p*nitent*;), press <F4> [INDEX] to view and select from forms retrieved. * = unlimited truncation
<Enter> cause search to be carried out; cause full text of sententiae to be displayed when in the <F3>[DISPLAY] mode; marks and unmarks selections resulting from <F2>[BROWSE]. <Escape> return to the main search screen or backs out to previous menu/screen <PageUp> <PageDown> move between search fields: Author, Titles, Forms, etc. <Spacebar> marks and unmarks selections reulting from <F4>[INDEX] commands. Changes defaults in <F8>[OPTIONS]
Truncation (can be at beginning, end, or internal)
* unlimited truncation (max. two * per form, or one when combined with one or more ?) ? any one character
Boolean operators

Proximity operators: CLCLT will search a phrase exactly as typed, e.g., relictis turbis; causa dominus.
/ within specified number of words: carnal* /10 mulier*
% order of words: x %2 y means x appears before y
with no more than two terms in between
() groups search terms into correct relationships:
(x OR y) AND z
- proximity codes / and % can not be used next to a
parenthesis. Instead of searching
