Speeches
Browsing: The call numbers PN6121 and PN6122 are
general collections of speeches.

Sources of Collected Speeches
- Representative American Speeches (Green Library Stacks
PN4181.R42) 1937-2005 (some missing
volumes) These volumes are interspersed inside a series called
Reference Shelf. Every year of Reference Shelf has a volume with
several issues. One issue from each volume is titled Representative
American Speeches (i.e., Representative American Speeches 1939-40
is Vol. 14 #1. Several Cumulative Author Indexes are found in
the issue for the last year in the decade (i.e., cumulative index
for 1937-1960 is in the 1959-60 issue; index for 1960-1970 is
in the 1969-70 issue.

These are compilations of famous documents (like Declaration
of Independence), but include speeches. You can check out the
earlier editions that are in the stacks. The IC edition covers
1978-1988, not covered in earlier editions.
