There are
numerous web sites relating to Native American
issues. The following provide links:
- Native American Sites
- NativeWeb. Gateway to information
sources on native peoples worldwide. There are many sites for indigenous
studies, including the Center for World
Indigenous Studies.
- Code Talk. All of the federal
agencies who operate Native American programs have sponsored an information-
sharing network for, and about, Native Americans. Available at this site is
government program information, an electronic consultation feature, and links
to other Native American Internet information.

- Mending the
Circle: A Native American Repatriation Guide from the
American Indian Ritual Object Repatriation Foundation
- Southeastern
Native American Documents, 1730-1842. This database contains
over 1,000 documents and images relating to the Native American population
of the Southeastern United States from the collections of the University of
Georgia Libraries, the University of Tennessee at Knoxville Library, the Frank
H. McClung Museum, and the Tennessee State Library and Archives. The documents
are comprised of letters, legal proceedings, military orders, financial papers,
and archaeological images relating to Native Americans in the Southeast. The
project was funded by a grant from the Institute for Museum and Library Services
(use the browser's BACK button to return to GALILEO). The first 18 months
of the Cherokee Phoenix, the first newspaper published in a Native American
language, is also available through the Georgia Historic Newspapers database.
