  1. Enter the SciSearch file via STN.
  2. Search your institution in the corporate source field. Be sure to truncate and to use the (s) proximity operator
  3. Use SmartSelect command to analyze field(s) in an answer set.
  4. Enter STNGUIDE file to reduce connect costs.
  5. Recommend displaying results both by frequency of occurrence and alphabetically. Add JT to display instructions if you only want to see source publications. Default format is a combined list of source publications and cited reference works.
Notes:
  • STN charges $8/SmartSelect search whereas Dialog charges $0.02/record Ranked in an answer set.
  • STN has a 50,000 record maximum that can be analyzed at one time. There is no limit to the number of records that can be analyzed at one time in Dialog.
