1. Enter File 480, Ulrich's Online, via Dialog.
2. Search Descriptor Codes (DC) for subjects of interest.
3. Search DC and Publication Code for Ulrich’s International in order to eliminate records published in Irregular Serials.
4. To get a list of new titles published in a year, search answer set retrieved above with PY which is the first year of publication field.
5. To identify new electronic journals, search answer set retrieved in step 3 and the index oa=available online only.
6. To see how many chemistry titles have been introduced over time, rank the answer set retrieved in Step 3 by the first year of publication e.g. rank s5 py. Page down through results, exit rank command, and logoff. Input results into spreadsheet and sort. Graph if desired.
