older theses may be at
SAL,
the Stanford Auxiliary Library. Theses at Swain are shelved in the last
room on the left side of the main hall.
Theses are organized alphabetically, first by the Advisor’s
last name, and then by the Author’s last name, and can be
checked out for a normal 28-day loan period. People with
SUNet IDs
can obtain digital copies of Stanford dissertations for any year after 1988 by logging into
Dissertation Abstracts.
