Published by Thieme, Science of Synthesis (SoS) is available to members of the Stanford community. We have a site license to the web version that allows users to search SoS on campus and off-campus. Please note that two plug-ins must be installed first in order to do structure and reaction searching. The Swain Library has print copies of Science of Synthesis (Reference QD 262 .S35) and Houben-Weyl: Methoden der Organischen Chemie (Reference QD 258 .M44).

ISIS/Draw and InfoChem Plugin

• Download and install ISIS/Draw (http://www.mdl.com/downloads/downloadable/index.jsp)
• Restart your computer
• Download and install the InfoChem Plugin (http://www.infochem.de/eng/texte/plugins_downloads.htm) (PC only; Mac coming Nov. 2003)

Please note that ISIS/Draw must be installed before the InfoChem Plugin, and both must be saved into the same folder. For more information on ISIS/Draw, see ISIS/Draw Help, available from the MDL Download Center (http://www.mdl.com/downloads/index.jsp).
