Connecting to Stanford’s Network

  • Computing and Communication

A central source for information about Stanford’s technology-based tools, from software and servers to cell phones and networks.

  • Getting Connected (Academic Computing)

Links to information about obtaining in-room dorm connections and laptop use in the libraries.

  • Proxy Access to Stanford-Restricted Resources

To use restricted databases and journals from computers outside the Stanford network, you must connect through Stanford’s authenticated proxy server.

  • Alternate Off-campus Access for Some Restricted Library Resources

If you are using a computer that does not allow you to set up proxying in your browser (for example, if you are visiting a library at another school) you can use this page to connect to a limited number of Stanford-restricted resources.

  • HelpSU Home Page

HelpSU includes a Web-based way of making requests for technical assistance, as well as pointers to documentation and training opportunities which can increase the self-sufficiency of the community.
