Boolean operators are: OR, AND, NOT

Alkyl OR Halide = AlkylPlus Halide
Alkyl Halide All citations with alkyl and all citations with halide.
Alkyl AND Halide = Figure C1
Alkyl Halide Only citations with alkyl and halide in the same paper.
Alkyl NOT Halide = Figure C2
Alkyl Halide Only citations with alkyl that don't have halide citations also.
