About Administration/Liaison
General Purpose
To manage and lead the department in a team approach, utilizing the strengths of each of the unit managers, to create the most useful and comprehensive intellectual access to the Libraries' collections, as guided by the needs of Stanford students, faculty and staff.
Scope
- Participation in cooperative cataloging programs at the national level
- Ensure timely catalog access to all materials acquired, utilizing appropriate standards to create no backlogs
- Participate in the national digital library agenda with increased local commitment to digital materials
- Department resource administration
- Planning and goal setting within the Libraries'context
- Liaison with all library departments
- Project scoping and monitoring
- Vendor relations
- Quality assessment and continuous improvement
