    Metadata Workflow:
    Electronic Resources (non-physical)

    1. Electronic Products Specialist is informed of an item needing to be cataloged. He will will forward the information to the appropriate person below.
    2. When SUL has a catalog record for a print equivalent, the request will be sent to Database Management (Svetlana) to add the URL and other appropriate fields to the record (See Internet Cataloging Guidelines). If she finds that there is not a print equivalent, she will pass the request to the MARC Unit LS4 handling media materials.
    3. Items for which SUL does not have the print equivalent will be cataloged as internet-only materials by the LS4 (for copy or derived). If the cataloging will be original, the LS4 will pass the request to the Media Cataloger. See Internet Cataloging Guidelines.
    4. Inform the Electronic Products Specialist when the record is cataloged.
