    Meyer 3 Emergency Evacuation Procedures

    Rev12/04/2006

When alarm sounds, immediately gather your personal belongings (keys, purse, glasses, medication, backpack, briefcase, coat, etc.).

Do not take time to shut down your computer.

Proceed QUICKLY to the closest stairway. There are 3 stairways on Meyer 3:

    1. The main stairway
    2. The emergency stairway to the left the main Meeting room
    3. The emergency stairway near the Women’s bathroom.

Please take time NOW to see where these stairways are located. The stairway in the Meeting Room and the one near the Women’s bathroom should be used only during Emergency Evacuation.

*NEVER ATTEMPT TO USE THE ELEVATORS DURING AN EVACUATION*

If you have a disability (permanent or temporary) that prevents you from using the stairs unassisted, please report that to your Department Emergency Plan Coordinator (Laura Cameron) immediately.

Please contact an ERT member to fill out or update your Acquisitions Emergency form.

Go to our Assembly Point (the lamp post closest to the clock tower between the old Career Center and Cubberley on the Thinker side of the building). All SerAcq Staff should gather in a group so that we can easily check our staff listing. Do NOT leave the vicinity without first checking in with either your Section Manager or Department Emergency Plan Coordinator. Wait there for further instructions from your supervisor or other SUL manager.
