    Stanford Bookstore Purchases

Materials purchased from the Stanford Bookstore will have the following:

    • Bibliographic record created by the Order Unit
    • Order record created by Order Unit
      • VC = STAN
    • All Bookstore receipts
Materials purchased from the Stanford Bookstore are delivered by messenger directly to the Order Unit staff person who placed the order.  The Order Unit staff person will then place the material on the rush shelf in the mailroom for receiving.

    Current procedure for receiving:

    • Remove all bookstore receipts.
    • Paperclip receipts together and place them in the Pay Unit's inbox.
    • If there is Bookstore barcode label on the item. Unpeel it from the item and restick it to back of the bookstore receipt or toss. If there is more than one item listed on the slip, you should have more than one barcode label stuck on the back (unless an item did not come with a barcode label)
    • Verify bibliographic information.
    • Receive order
    • Route material to next processing location
